Dual ±5V rails from a single 14-DFN package
The LT3032IDE-5#PBF integrates two independent LDO regulators in a single 14-lead WFDFN package (4x3 mm), delivering a fixed ±5V output from each channel at up to 150 mA. This is a space-saving alternative to two separate LDOs when a bipolar supply is needed for analog front-ends, op-amp rails, or ADC/DAC reference paths.
PSRR and dropout — what they mean for the supply rail
PSRR is 68 dB at 120 Hz, dropping to 54 dB at 120 Hz — the higher figure is typical for the positive regulator, the lower for the negative side. At 68 dB, a 100 mVpp ripple on the input at 120 Hz (full-wave rectified mains) is attenuated to roughly 40 µVpp on the output, which is clean enough for a 16-bit ADC reference without additional post-filtering. Dropout voltage is 0.27 V typ (0.3 V max) at 150 mA — the input rail must stay at least 300 mV above the ±5V output across the full load range to maintain regulation. For a 5V output, a 5.5V input rail provides comfortable headroom; a 5.0V rail would drop out under load.
Industrial temperature range and protection suite
The 125°C ceiling gives margin for self-heating in a compact 14-DFN package. Built-in protection includes over-current limiting, thermal shutdown, and reverse-polarity protection — the reverse-polarity clamp prevents damage if the input supply is accidentally reversed during bench testing or field wiring.
Active lifecycle and compliance documentation
It is RoHS3 compliant (lead-free) with no exemptions.
