Dual 500mA rail with 67dB supply rejection
The LT3029EMSE#PBF packs two 500mA adjustable positive LDOs in a single 16-MSOP-EP package, each with independent enable and a shared 20V max input. The 0.46V max dropout at full load means each output holds regulation with less than half a volt of headroom — useful when feeding a 3.3V analog rail from a 3.8V battery or a 5V bus that sags under transient load. PSRR is 67dB at 120Hz — this is the 2× line-frequency ripple rejection figure. For a 24V industrial supply with 100mVpk-pk 120Hz ripple, the output sees under 50µV of that ripple. That matters when powering a 16-bit ADC reference or a precision op-amp front-end where supply-induced noise eats into the LSB budget. Output voltage is adjustable from 1.215V up to 19.5V via two external resistors per channel. The 1.215V internal reference is the minimum fixed voltage — set the feedback divider for any rail in that range. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 125°C, covering automotive under-hood and industrial enclosure ambients.
Package and thermal layout for the exposed pad
The 16-MSOP-EP (3.00mm × 3.00mm body, 0.118-inch pitch) has an exposed pad on the bottom. A 1-square-inch copper plane on the top layer, with vias to inner ground layers, keeps the junction temperature rise within the 125°C limit when both outputs are loaded to 500mA. The tube packaging (50 pieces per tube) is standard for prototyping and low-volume production. Reel options are available from the factory but this order code ships in tube — factor in handling if your pick-and-place feeder expects tape-and-reel.
Active lifecycle and compliance documentation
ROHS3 compliant (no exemptions), so it clears EU RoHS requirements without a certificate of analysis for each lot.
