Active production — BOM-fit and sourcing
The LT1769CGN#PBF: Rated for a maximum charge current of 2A and a battery pack voltage up to 20V, it suits applications charging Li-Ion, NiMH, NiCd, or lead-acid packs from a supply rail as high as 28V. The constant-current programmable architecture lets you set the charge rate with an external resistor, giving flexibility across different cell counts and chemistries without a board spin.
Package and thermal integration
The narrow SSOP outline keeps the PCB area small — useful in portable equipment where board real estate competes with the battery itself. The 28-SSOP supplier device package is the same as the order-code suffix implies — no hidden package variant.
Protection and compliance
Built-in over-voltage fault protection guards the battery and the charger circuit against a runaway supply or a defective cell — the IC shuts down the charge cycle when the pack voltage exceeds the safe threshold. The part is ROHS3 compliant, so it meets the current EU restriction on hazardous substances.
