What this regulator brings to the bench
The LT1082IT#PBF is a current-mode switching regulator for step-up, step-down, and isolated converter designs. It integrates an 850 mA switch rated to 100 V, with a 75 V input bus and a switching frequency between 12 kHz and 60 kHz. Output is adjustable from 1.244 V up to the switch voltage limit, and the configuration supports positive, negative, or isolated rails. It ships in a TO-220-5 through-hole package.
The 850 mA figure is the peak switch current, not the continuous output. In a boost converter, output current will be lower by the voltage-conversion ratio times efficiency.

The input range spans 3 V to 75 V. The switch can handle up to 100 V. Output can be set positive, negative, or isolated. The adjustable feedback pin references 1.244 V.
