The Maxim Integrated DS28EC20P+T is a 20Kbit non-volatile EEPROM communicating over a single-contact 1-Wire® bus. Organized as 256 x 80 bits, it stores serial numbers, calibration constants, or configuration data in a footprint that needs only one GPIO and one ground trace. The 1-Wire interface keeps PCB routing minimal — useful in space-constrained designs like sensor probes, battery packs, or accessory identification where a separate I²C or SPI bus is unavailable.
ROHS3 compliant, so it passes EU material restrictions without an exemption.
