What this part does — I²C to 1-Wire bridge in a WLP

It lets a standard I²C master communicate with 1-Wire slaves — temperature sensors, EEPROMs, battery monitors — without bit-banging the protocol in firmware. The bridge handles the 1-Wire timing and device addressing internally, so the host just writes and reads registers over I²C.
