What this I²C-to-1-Wire bridge does
The Maxim Integrated DS2482X-100+T is a single-channel bridge that translates I²C master commands to the 1-Wire® protocol, letting a standard I²C bus talk to 1-Wire® devices like temperature sensors, EEPROMs, and battery monitors. It operates from a 2.9V to 5.5V supply, so it works on both 3.3V and 5V logic rails without a separate level shifter. The 9-WLP package (1.53x1.53 mm) is tiny — board space is minimal, but rework needs a hot-air station and a steady hand; the WLP has no leads to inspect, so alignment and solder-paste volume are critical.
