1Kbit 1-Wire EEPROM in a 6-TSOC package
The DS2431P+T&R is a 1Kbit serial EEPROM with a 1-Wire interface, organized as 256 x 4 bits. The 1-Wire bus carries both data and power over a single conductor plus ground, which simplifies cabling in systems where a dedicated power line is impractical — think sensor ID tags, accessory recognition, or calibration storage in a sealed enclosure. Access time is 2 µs, fast enough for the 1-Wire protocol's standard and overdrive speeds.
Supplied in a 6-SMD J-Lead package (6-TSOC), surface-mount only. The J-lead footprint is less common than a standard SOIC but offers a smaller PCB footprint and better shock resistance than gull-wing leads — the leads tuck under the body, so the part is less likely to snag during handling or rework. Tape & Reel (TR) and Cut Tape (CT) options are available. For prototyping, the CT variant avoids buying a full reel; for production, the TR format feeds directly into a pick-and-place machine without a reel change.
