Product details

What the 4.625V threshold means for your rail

The DS1233Z-5+T&R: That 4.625V threshold is the trip point — it's set to catch a brownout before the downstream logic starts behaving unpredictably, giving the system a clean reset pulse that lasts at least 250 ms after the rail recovers.

Active-low open-drain output — wiring it up

You'll need an external pull-up resistor to the logic supply — typically 10 kΩ to 100 kΩ — to hold the line high during normal operation. The open-drain topology also lets you wire-OR multiple supervisors or manual reset buttons on the same line without contention.

SOT-223-3 package — hand-solderable and breadboard-friendly

Housed in a SOT-223-3 (TO-261-4 compatible), this is a surface-mount package with a large tab that can be hand-soldered with a fine-tip iron — no hot-air station required. The three-pin layout (GND, RESET, VCC) is simple enough for a perfboard or a breakout, and the 0.100-inch pitch on the outer pins makes it breadboard-adjacent with a little adapter.
