What this encoder is and where it fits
The ADV7393BCPZ-REEL is a high-definition video encoder from Analog Devices, built to drive composite, S-video, component, and SD/HD digital outputs in consumer video gear. It targets set-top boxes, video players, and displays — any box that needs to convert digital video streams into analog or digital video signals for the output stage. The part runs on two separate supply rails: an analog supply from 2.6 V to 3.46 V, and a digital core from 1.71 V to 1.89 V. That split means the power tree needs two regulators — one for the analog domain (clean, low-noise) and one for the digital logic. Mixing them onto a single rail will push noise into the video output. Packaged in a 40-lead LFCSP-VQ (6x6 mm) with an exposed pad for thermal management. The pad must be soldered to a ground plane — the datasheet's recommended footprint and stencil aperture are the ones to follow for reliable solder-joint formation under the QFN.
