Six-channel galvanic isolator with 1000Vrms rating
The Analog Devices ADUM7643CRQZ-RL7 is a six-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from the iCoupler® family, using magnetic coupling to transfer digital signals across a 1000Vrms isolation barrier. It is a general-purpose part designed for breaking ground loops and providing safety isolation in industrial, instrumentation, and power-conversion interfaces where signal integrity matters at data rates up to 25Mbps. The six channels are configured as three inputs on side 1 and three inputs on side 2, giving you a balanced, bidirectional isolation path in a single 20-pin SSOP or QSOP footprint.
25Mbps data rate and timing margins for your bus
Rated at 25Mbps, this isolator comfortably handles SPI clocks up to 25 MHz, UART data at common baud rates, and general-purpose parallel or serial control signals. The 50ns maximum propagation delay in either direction (tpLH / tpHL) and 6ns maximum pulse-width distortion mean the timing skew across channels is tight enough for most synchronous interfaces without extra delay compensation.
Industrial temperature range and common-mode transient immunity
The minimum common-mode transient immunity of 15kV/µs means the isolation barrier holds up against fast voltage transients from switching power stages or inductive loads — a common failure point for optocoupler-based designs in noisy environments.
Supply range and 5V compatibility
The supply voltage range of 3V to 5.5V on both sides lets you run the isolator from a single 3.3V rail, a 5V rail, or mix them — for example, a 3.3V microcontroller on side 1 talking to a 5V peripheral on side 2. No external level shifters are needed. The part does not provide isolated power; each side needs its own local supply and decoupling.
Package and footprint: 20-SSOP / 20-QSOP
Housed in a 20-SSOP body (3.90mm width, 0.154" pitch) with surface-mount leads, the ADUM7643CRQZ-RL7 also maps to the supplier device package 20-QSOP. The 1.27mm lead pitch is standard and easy to route on two-layer boards.
Lifecycle and compliance
The ROHS3 compliance is fully certified, no exemptions expiring.
