Half-bridge driver with 5700 Vrms isolation — what it means for the gate-drive rail
The ADUM4221-2CRIZ-RL from Analog Devices is a 2-channel isolated half-bridge gate driver built on iCoupler magnetic coupling technology. The output supply range spans 4.5V to 35V, which means the same part can drive a 12V logic-level MOSFET or a 24V IGBT gate. Propagation delay is 33ns (rising) and 44ns (falling) maximum, with pulse-width distortion held to 16ns — tight enough for high-frequency switching stages where dead-time margin is tight.
