Automotive-grade isolated gate driver for traction inverters and motor drives
The Analog Devices ADUM3224WCRZ-RL7 is a 2-channel isolated gate driver using magnetic coupling technology, rated for 3000Vrms isolation and delivering 4A peak output current.
The 4A peak output current provides the gate charge needed to switch large power devices quickly, reducing switching losses in high-frequency designs. The 12ns rise and fall times complement this by minimizing the time spent in the linear region. The 25kV/µs common-mode transient immunity ensures the driver rejects fast voltage transients across the isolation barrier — critical in motor-drive environments where high dv/dt events from the inverter stage can otherwise cause false triggering or latch-up. Propagation delay is specified at 54ns max, which is typical for this class of isolated driver and should be budgeted in dead-time calculations.
Active lifecycle and packaging variant
It is ROHS3 compliant. The device is housed in a 16-SOIC narrow-body package (0.154", 3.90mm width), a standard footprint that simplifies PCB layout and second-sourcing.
