Matched propagation delay — dead-time control matters
The ADUM3223BRZ-RL7: Propagation delay is specified at 54 ns max for both rising and falling edges, and the delay is matched across the two channels. When you're setting dead-time in a motor drive or a DC-DC converter, unmatched delays eat into your margin or cause shoot-through. The 12 ns typical rise/fall time keeps the gate drive edges clean without excessive ringing on the gate loop.
50 kV/µs CMTI — survives hard switching
Common-mode transient immunity is rated at a minimum of 50 kV/µs.
The output-side supply range spans 7.5 V to 18 V, covering the typical gate drive bias for standard Si MOSFETs and IGBTs. The input side is powered from the controller-side rail, and the magnetic isolation handles the ground potential difference. The 16-SOIC narrow body package (3.90 mm width) fits a standard footprint, and the RL7 suffix confirms Tape & Reel delivery.
Temperature grade — industrial and outdoor
No automotive-grade qualification (AEC-Q) is listed, so stay with industrial applications.
The part is ROHS3 compliant.
