Two-channel unidirectional isolator with 2500 Vrms rating
It supports a data rate up to 25 Mbps with typical rise/fall times of 2.5 ns, making it suitable for isolating SPI, UART, and general-purpose logic signals in industrial control, motor drives, and isolated power supplies. Propagation delay is 45 ns max in either direction, and pulse-width distortion is held to 3 ns max, preserving signal integrity for timing-critical links. Common-mode transient immunity is rated at 25 kV/µs minimum, which is the figure that matters in motor-drive and inverter environments where fast voltage swings on the high side can otherwise couple errors across the barrier.
Channel topology and signal direction
The two channels are unidirectional with one input on side 1 and one input on side 2 (1/1 configuration). This means one channel carries data from side 1 to side 2, and the other from side 2 to side 1 — the natural arrangement for isolating a bidirectional serial bus like UART or a two-wire SPI link with separate data-in and data-out lines. If your application requires both channels in the same direction (two signals going from side 1 to side 2), the sibling ADUM3200CRZ-RL7 offers that 2/0 input count while keeping the same 25 Mbps data rate, 2500 Vrms isolation, and 45 ns propagation delay.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in an 8-pin SOIC narrow-body package (3.90 mm width), the ADUM3201CRZ fits standard SOIC-8 land patterns and reflow profiles. No isolated DC-DC converter is integrated — the part provides signal isolation only. For applications needing isolated power, an external isolated converter or a part from the ADuM5xxx series with integrated power is required.
Lifecycle and compliance
It is ROHS3 compliant, meeting current EU exemption requirements for lead-free soldering. No PCN or LTB has been issued for this order code.
