Two unidirectional channels, both oriented from Side 1 to Side 2 (2/0 input count). That means no reverse-direction channel for handshake or acknowledge signals — if your interface needs bidirectional traffic, you either use two of these back-to-back or step to a part with a 1/1 channel split like the ADUM2211SRIZ. The 1 Mbps data rate is the ceiling for each channel; at 150 ns max propagation delay per edge, the part handles SPI at lower clock rates, UART, and general-purpose GPIO isolation cleanly. Pulse-width distortion is specified at 40 ns max, which keeps duty-cycle errors within a few percent at 1 Mbps.
2500 Vrms isolation and 25 kV/µs CMTI — where it fits
Rated for 2500 Vrms isolation — basic insulation level, not reinforced. That covers intra-system isolation where the working voltage stays under 300 Vrms and the equipment category is not patient-connected or mains-reinforced. The 25 kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity is the spec that matters in motor-drive, inverter, and industrial environments where fast dV/dt edges couple across the barrier. If your system sees >25 kV/µs common-mode slew, this part will not hold the data integrity; step to a higher-CMTI variant.
8-pin SOIC body, 3.90 mm width, surface-mount. Magnetic coupling technology means no external charge-pump components; the isolation is self-contained. ROHS3 compliant per the manufacturer.
