Six channels at 150 Mbps with 5 kV isolation — the BOM-fit tier for industrial signal isolation
The ADUM262N1BRIZ-RL is a 6-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler series, built around magnetic coupling technology. It delivers 150 Mbps per channel with a propagation delay of 13 ns max and pulse-width distortion under 4.5 ns, making it fast enough for SPI, UART, and CAN buses without adding timing headaches. The 5000 Vrms isolation rating and 75 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) put it squarely in the industrial motor-drive, inverter, and medical equipment tier where galvanic isolation is a safety requirement, not just noise management.
Supply range and channel layout — what fits the board
The 4/2 input split — four channels on side 1, two on side 2 — maps naturally to a 4-wire SPI bus (SCLK, MOSI, MISO, CS) plus two control signals on the return side.
Temperature grade and environment
The 5000 Vrms isolation is tested per UL 1577 and VDE 0884-10; the 75 kV/µs CMTI means it won't glitch when an IGBT switches 600 V in a few nanoseconds.
Lifecycle and compliance
ROHS3 compliant, so it clears the EU material restrictions without an exemption. The iCoupler series has broad second-source coverage from ADI's own pin-compatible variants, but no direct cross-reference is listed in the ledger.
