The ADUM162N0BRZ-RL7 is a 6-channel general-purpose digital isolator from Analog Devices using magnetic coupling technology. With four channels on side 1 and two on side 2, all unidirectional, it fits designs where the data flow is fixed — think SPI bus isolation (SCLK, MOSI, MISO plus a couple of chip selects) or breaking ground loops in a multi-drop RS-485 node. The 150 Mbps data rate handles fast serial links without adding timing jitter; propagation delay is a max of 13 ns both ways, and pulse-width distortion stays under 4.5 ns, so the signal integrity budget doesn't get eaten by the isolator.
3000 Vrms and 75 kV/µs CMTI — the motor-drive and inverter reality check
Rated for 3000 Vrms isolation and minimum common-mode transient immunity of 75 kV/µs.
Supply range and package — one rail for both sides
The 16-SOIC (3.90 mm width) package is a standard footprint; the -RL7 suffix means it ships on a 7-inch reel in Tape & Reel, with Cut Tape also available for prototypes. No isolated power on board, so plan an external DC-DC if the secondary side needs a separate supply.
