Five-channel digital isolator for high-speed signal isolation
The ADI ADUM152N1BRZ is a 5-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from the iCoupler family, using magnetic coupling to deliver 150 Mbps per channel with a propagation delay of 13 ns max and pulse-width distortion of 4.5 ns max. It provides 3000 Vrms isolation and a common-mode transient immunity of 75 kV/µs, making it suitable for industrial motor drives, inverter systems, and isolated SPI/UART links where fast switching edges and high noise immunity are required.
Channel count and signal direction
The five channels are split 3 on side 1 and 2 on side 2, all unidirectional. That 3/2 split covers a typical SPI bus (SCLK, MOSI, CS) plus two additional control or status signals from the other side. If you need a different direction ratio, the ADUM151N0BRZ offers a 4/1 split in the same package and speed grade.
Timing and signal integrity
At 150 Mbps, the 13 ns propagation delay and 2.5 ns rise/fall times give clean edges for high-speed digital links. The 4.5 ns pulse-width distortion keeps the duty cycle intact across the isolation barrier, which matters for PWM signals or clock recovery. The 75 kV/µs CMTI means this part won't glitch when a motor drive or IGBT bridge switches at tens of kV/µs — a common failure point in industrial isolation.
Package and temperature range
No isolated power converter on-chip — you'll need a separate DC-DC if the application requires isolated power delivery.
