Five-channel unidirectional isolator with 150 Mbps throughput
The ADUM150N1BRZ is a 5-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler family, built on magnetic coupling technology. It delivers a 150 Mbps data rate per channel with 3000 Vrms isolation, making it suitable for breaking ground loops and protecting low-voltage logic in industrial automation, motor drives, and isolated power supplies. All five inputs are on side 1, with no reverse-direction channels — a fixed unidirectional configuration that suits sensor-to-controller or data-acquisition isolation where signal flow is one-way.
Supply flexibility and 1.8 V logic compatibility
This is a practical advantage when isolating a 1.8 V MCU from a 5 V field-side bus. Propagation delay is 13 ns max, with 4.5 ns pulse-width distortion and 2.5 ns rise/fall times, keeping timing margins tight for high-speed SPI or parallel data links.
75 kV/µs CMTI — noise immunity for motor drives and inverters
Common-mode transient immunity of 75 kV/µs minimum means the isolator holds its output state through fast voltage transients common in motor-drive and inverter environments. This rating is what separates a part that glitches on a PWM edge from one that doesn't.
Lifecycle and sourcing
ADI lists the ADUM150N1BRZ as an active product with ROHS3 compliance.
