Four-channel galvanic isolator for industrial signal paths
The Analog Devices ADUM140E0BRZ-RL7 is a 4-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from the iCoupler family, built around magnetic coupling technology. The 150Mbps data rate handles high-speed serial interfaces such as SPI without adding significant propagation delay — 13ns max per channel.
The 150Mbps data rate is fast enough for SPI clock rates up to 75 MHz in half-duplex mode, or full-duplex SPI with two channels per direction. The 75kV/µs common-mode transient immunity is the spec that matters in motor-drive and inverter environments — fast-switching SiC or IGBT stages can inject several kV/µs across the isolation barrier, and this part holds its output state through those edges. Pulse-width distortion is held to 3ns max, which keeps the duty cycle intact for PWM or timing-sensitive links.
