The ADUM1301ARWZ-RL is a 3-channel digital isolator from Analog Devices' iCoupler series, using magnetic coupling to pass digital signals across a 2500Vrms isolation barrier. Two channels run from side 1 to side 2, one channel runs the opposite direction — a 2/1 input split that suits a typical SPI-like interface where MISO needs a return path. The 1Mbps data rate covers most sensor buses, UART links, and low-speed control signals without margin stress. Propagation delay maxes at 100ns each way, and pulse-width distortion is held to 40ns, so the pulse shape stays clean enough for a 1Mbps NRZ stream. The 25kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) is the spec that matters in motor-drive and inverter environments — fast voltage transients on the bus side won't glitch the output. Supply range spans 2.7V to 5.5V, so it can bridge a 3.3V controller to a 5V peripheral domain without a level shifter.
Package, mounting, and supply — design-in checklist
The part comes in a 16-SOIC wide-body package (7.50mm body width), surface-mount only. No isolated power on-chip — you supply the secondary-side rail separately.
