Two-channel unidirectional isolator for automotive signal chains
The ADUM1285WCRZ: It delivers 100 Mbps data rate with 2.5 ns rise/fall times and 3000 Vrms isolation in an 8-SOIC package. The 25 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity handles the switching noise from motor drives and inverter stages without false triggering.
Automotive grade and 125°C junction — under-hood ready
This matters for engine bay, transmission, and battery-management isolation where the ambient can exceed 105°C — the ADUM1300CRWZ, by contrast, stops at 105°C. The 3000 Vrms isolation rating meets the reinforced insulation requirement for traction inverter and onboard charger signal paths.
Package and layout — 8-SOIC with no isolated power
The ADUM1285WCRZ comes in an 8-SOIC (3.90 mm width) package, surface-mount only. It does not include an integrated isolated DC-DC converter — the 'No Isolated Power' flag means the secondary side needs its own supply rail. For a two-channel unidirectional isolator, the 2/0 input-side/side-2 count means both channels drive from side 1 to side 2; the ADUM1281WARZ offers a 1/1 bidirectional split if you need a return channel. The 8-SOIC footprint is standard, and the 3000 Vrms isolation is tested per the datasheet's 1-minute hipot routine.
