ARM7 core with precision analog integration
The ADUC7060BCPZ32 is a MicroConverter® series MCU from Analog Devices, combining an ARM7® 16/32-bit processor core running at 10 MHz with a multichannel 24-bit sigma-delta ADC and a 14-bit DAC on a single die. This integration targets precision measurement and control loops where an external analog front-end would otherwise consume board space and BOM cost. The 24-bit ADC array — 5 differential or 8 single-ended channels — provides the resolution needed for strain-gauge, thermocouple, or pressure-sensor interfaces without an external amplifier or reference. The 14-bit DAC supports analog output for actuator setpoints or trimming.
The on-chip temperature sensor and watchdog timer support fail-safe operation in unattended environments. The 32 KB on-chip Flash (16K x 16 organization) and 4 KB RAM (1K x 32) are adequate for moderate firmware loads — a PID loop with data logging, for example — but data-heavy applications will need external memory via the SPI or I2C bus.
The part is RoHS3 compliant. For designs requiring a larger I/O count, the ADUC7060BSTZ32 (LQFP-48 package) uses the same die and peripheral set but offers a different footprint — board layout changes are needed. The ADUC7061BCPZ32 reduces GPIO to 8 while retaining the same ADC and DAC complement.
