The ADP2164ACPZ-R7 is a 4 A step-down (buck) regulator from Analog Devices, delivering an adjustable output from 0.6 V up to the input rail. Switching frequency is programmable from 500 kHz to 1.4 MHz, allowing the designer to trade off inductor size against efficiency — higher frequency shrinks the magnetics but increases switching losses.
