24-bit audio codec with 106/110 dB SNR for ANC and voice processing
The ADAU1861BCSZ-RL is a low-power digital active noise cancellation (ANC) audio codec from Analog Devices, built for headset, earbud, and portable audio applications where 24-bit resolution and wide dynamic range are non-negotiable. It delivers 106 dB SNR on the ADC side and 110 dB on the DAC side, with a 3-channel ADC / 1-channel DAC architecture — enough for feed-forward, feedback, and hybrid ANC topologies plus a voice path. The digital interface includes I²C for control and I²S or SPI for audio data, making it a drop-in fit for designs already using those serial buses.
Industrial temperature range and compact LFCSP package
Rated for -40°C to +105°C, the ADAU1861BCSZ-RL covers industrial and automotive cabin environments — a headset that sits in a parked car on a summer day stays within spec. Housed in a 64-lead LFCSP-SS (9x9 mm) with exposed pad, the package supports thermal dissipation into the PCB ground plane and keeps the footprint small for space-constrained wearables. Supply rails are split: analog at 1.7 V to 1.98 V, digital at 0.85 V to 1.21 V — the low digital core voltage reduces power in active operation.
Active production — sourced to order
Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) — the reel option suits volume pick-and-place, while cut tape works for prototype or low-volume builds. Pricing and lead time are confirmed at RFQ; availability is verified against live distributor inventory at the time of quoting.
