What this single op-amp brings to a BOM
The ADA4098-1BUJZ-R5 is a single-channel general-purpose op-amp. Its 3 V to 50 V supply span covers both low-voltage and industrial rails. The rail-to-rail output preserves dynamic range, and the 195 µA supply current suits loop-powered or battery-operated designs.
Gain bandwidth product of 1.05 MHz and slew rate of 0.85 V/µs are sufficient for audio-band filtering, sensor conditioning up to a few tens of kHz, and slow ADC drivers. The 15 µV typical input offset voltage eliminates the need for external trimming in most precision DC measurements — a real BOM simplification for weigh-scale or thermocouple inputs. Input bias current of 350 pA keeps errors negligible when driving from high-impedance sources like pH probes or photodiodes. Output current capability of 50 mA per channel lets the op-amp directly drive a modest load — a reference input, a small relay coil, or an LED indicator — without a separate buffer transistor.
Housed in a TSOT-6 (SOT-23-6 Thin) surface-mount package, the ADA4098-1BUJZ-R5 fits dense PCB layouts.
