Zero-drift precision for DC measurement chains
The ADA4051-2ARMZ-R7 is a dual-channel chopper-stabilized (zero-drift) operational amplifier from Analog Devices. Its 2 µV typical input offset voltage and 20 pA input bias current make it a natural fit for precision DC signal conditioning — think thermocouple amplifiers, strain-gauge bridges, or photodiode transimpedance stages where offset drift over temperature would otherwise dominate the error budget. The 125 kHz gain-bandwidth product and 0.06 V/µs slew rate define the usable signal bandwidth. For a closed-loop gain of 100, the -3 dB bandwidth is roughly 1.25 kHz — adequate for low-frequency sensor outputs but not for audio or fast servo loops. The 13 µA supply current per channel (26 µA total for both amplifiers) keeps the power budget light in battery-operated or loop-powered designs.
