Differential driver for high-speed signal chains
The AD8132ARZ is a single-channel differential op-amp from Analog Devices, designed to drive high-speed ADCs or transmit differential signals over twisted-pair cables. Its 360 MHz -3 dB bandwidth and 1200 V/µs slew rate mean it preserves fast edge rates and settles quickly — critical for video, radar, or communications baseband paths where signal integrity at the converter input determines the system noise floor. The differential output architecture rejects common-mode noise coupled into the line, so the receiving ADC sees a cleaner signal than a single-ended driver would deliver. This makes the part a natural fit for driving the analog input of a high-speed SAR or pipeline converter in test equipment, software-defined radio, or industrial imaging.
Single-supply operation is supported — the input common-mode range and output swing are specified for single-rail use, which simplifies the power tree in battery-powered or space-constrained designs. The 70 mA output current per channel drives 50-ohm terminated lines or multiple ADC inputs without external buffers.
