Dual JFET op-amp in a through-hole DIP
The AD712JNZ is a dual JFET-input operational amplifier from Analog Devices, packing two independent op-amps in a single 8-pin DIP package. The 4 MHz -3dB bandwidth and 20 V/µs slew rate give it enough speed for audio processing, active filters, and moderate-speed ADC drivers. Supply range spans 9 V to 36 V single or dual supply, drawing 5 mA per amplifier quiescent.
Package and board fit — through-hole only
The through-hole footprint suits socketed prototyping, breadboard work, or rework into legacy boards that already carry DIP footprints. No moisture sensitivity level concern for DIP — store the tubes dry, but no bake required before reflow (hand-solder or wave only). If your production board uses surface-mount, the sibling AD712JRZ in SOIC-8 is the same die in a smaller footprint.
Temperature grade — commercial only
Not rated for industrial or automotive under-hood use where ambient exceeds 70°C. If extended temperature is needed, the AD712KNZ (same specs, 0°C to 70°C as well) shares the same temperature grade; no industrial-temp sibling appears in this family.
