Package, supply, and standby current
At 3.3 V nominal the part draws 15 mA maximum during oscillation — but the standby (power-down) function shuts the output and cuts current to 15 µA, so a battery-backed circuit that parks the clock when idle reduces quiescent draw by three orders of magnitude.
