The Vishay V15P15-M3/H is a 150 V, 15 A Schottky rectifier from the eSMP® and TMBS® series, housed in a TO-277A (SMPC) surface-mount package.
Forward drop and leakage — the thermal trade-off
Maximum forward voltage is 1.08 V at 15 A — that is 16.2 W of conduction loss at full load. The 300 µA reverse leakage at 150 V is the standby loss; at 125°C junction the leakage roughly doubles, so the thermal design needs to keep the junction below 125°C to avoid runaway in a high-ambient enclosure.
Junction temperature range and environment fit
The 150°C Tj max allows a 45°C temperature rise from a 105°C ambient before derating.
Package and footprint — TO-277A (SMPC)
The 0.50 mm lead pitch demands a solder-paste stencil aperture that matches the pad geometry; a 2 oz copper pour under the part drops the junction-to-board thermal resistance significantly.
Sourcing and lifecycle posture
The eSMP® and TMBS® series are Vishay's mainstream Schottky families, so supply continuity is typical for a mature power rectifier.
