Gate drive optocoupler for industrial power stages
The Toshiba TLP5774(D4,E is a single-channel gate drive optocoupler designed to drive IGBTs and power MOSFETs in medium-power inverter, motor drive, and switched-mode power supply stages. It provides 5000Vrms of reinforced isolation between the controller-side logic and the high-voltage power rail, with a peak output current of 4A to charge and discharge the gate capacitance quickly. The 35kV/µs common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) ensures the output stays in the correct state during fast voltage swings on the power bus, a requirement for reliable switching in noisy industrial environments.
Switching speed and timing margins
