Gate-drive optocoupler for IGBT/MOSFET switching
The TLP5754(D4-LF4,E: The TLP5754 is a single-channel optical-coupling gate driver rated for 4 A peak output current and 5000 Vrms isolation — enough to drive medium-power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor drives, inverters, and industrial power supplies without an external booster stage. Rise and fall times of 15 ns and 8 ns keep switching losses low, while the 35 kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity prevents false triggering in noisy inverter environments. Output supply range of 15 V to 30 V covers standard gate-drive rails for silicon IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs.
Parametric fit for motor-drive and PSU designs
With 3 A source and 3 A sink capability (high/low output), the TLP5754 can charge and discharge a typical IGBT gate — matching the propagation delay symmetry of 150 ns max for both edges. Maximum pulse-width distortion of 50 ns ensures consistent on-time across switching cycles, important for dead-time budgeting in half-bridge topologies.
