5000Vrms reinforced isolation for IGBT/MOSFET gate drive
The TLP5705H(D4-TP,E is a 1-channel gate drive optocoupler from Toshiba with a push-pull totem-pole output, rated for 5000Vrms isolation — enough for reinforced isolation in motor drives, inverters, and industrial power supplies. Its 200ns maximum propagation delay (tpLH/tpHL) keeps dead-time margins tight enough for switching frequencies up to several hundred kHz without excessive timing guard-bands. The 50kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) prevents the output from falsely toggling when the inverter half-bridge switches at high dv/dt — a common failure point in noisy motor-drive environments.
15V-30V supply and 125°C rating for power-stage proximity
The supply range from 15V to 30V covers standard IGBT gate voltages (typically 15V to 20V) and allows the optocoupler to drive the gate directly without an external boost stage. The 6-SOIC wide-body package (7.50mm width) provides the physical creepage distance required to sustain the 5000Vrms isolation rating across the isolation barrier.
Active production — sourcing and lifecycle posture
Available in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options for the 6-SOIC package, supporting both prototype and volume assembly.
