The TLP385(GRH-TPL,E: Rated for 5000 Vrms isolation with an operating temperature span of -55°C to 110°C — this optocoupler suits industrial motor drives, outdoor telecom rectifiers, and medical PSUs where reinforced isolation and wide ambient range are non-negotiable.
CTR bin and switching speed
The GRH bin guarantees a current transfer ratio between 150% and 300% at 5 mA forward current, tighter than the GRL variant which spans 100% to 300%. Typical rise and fall times are 2 µs and 3 µs respectively, which keeps the output edge clean for 100 kHz-class switching — relevant for isolating PLC digital inputs or IGBT gate drive signals.
Output drive and saturation
Maximum output current per channel is 50 mA, with Vce saturation clamped at 300 mV. That low saturation voltage means the output transistor dissipates under 15 mW at full load, so the 6-SOIC-4L package stays cool even in a crowded board layout.
