It provides 3750Vrms isolation between the input LED and output driver, with a peak output current of 600mA to handle gate charge.

Package and mounting

The 600mA peak output is enough to drive a medium IGBT or MOSFET gate without an external booster — think 30A-class switches in a motor drive. Rise and fall times of 50ns typ keep switching losses low, but the 700ns max propagation delay means you budget for dead-time in the PWM loop. The 10kV/µs CMTI is the spec that matters in a half-bridge: if the high-side switch sees a fast dv/dt, this opto won't latch or glitch the gate signal.
