Quad-channel galvanic isolator — 3750Vrms in SOIC-16
The TLP293-4(LA-TP,E is a four-channel optocoupler from Toshiba that uses a DC-input LED and phototransistor output to provide 3750Vrms isolation between input and output circuits. Each channel can sink up to 50mA at a maximum output voltage of 80V, making it suitable for logic-level shifting, PLC digital inputs, and isolated sensor interfaces. The 16-SOIC package (4.55mm width) fits standard surface-mount assembly flows and is available on tape and reel or cut tape.
CTR spread and switching speed — design margin check
Current transfer ratio (CTR) is specified from 50% min to 600% max at a forward current of 500µA. This wide spread means the minimum CTR drives the worst-case load current; at 50% CTR and 500µA input, the output can sink at least 250µA. Typical rise and fall times are 2µs and 3µs respectively, with turn-on and turn-off times both at 3µs typ — adequate for 10–100 kHz switching in industrial logic isolation.
Active production — RoHS compliant, sourcing per RFQ
TLP293-4(LA-TP,E carries active product status from Toshiba and is RoHS compliant.
