The Toshiba TLP291(GR,SE is a single-channel photocoupler with a DC-input LED driving a phototransistor output, in a 4-SOIC surface-mount package. The 3750Vrms isolation rating is the headline spec.
CTR range and what it tells you about drive margin
Current Transfer Ratio is the photocoupler's gain. The TLP291(GR,SE specifies a CTR of 150% minimum and 300% maximum at an LED current of 5mA.
Output ratings — 80V and 50mA
The output transistor is rated for 80V collector-emitter maximum and 50mA continuous current per channel. The 80V ceiling covers 48V industrial buses with margin.
The -55°C low end is unusual for a commercial optocoupler — most stop at -40°C — which makes this part suitable for cold-environment applications like arctic instrumentation or avionics bay equipment that sees -55°C during cold-soak. The 110°C upper limit is below the 125°C that automotive-grade parts carry, so it's not rated for direct under-hood mounting on an engine block, but it handles the interior of a sealed industrial enclosure on a hot factory floor. The ROHS3 compliance is current, with no lead in the solder terminations.
