98 dB PSRR at 1 kHz — noise-sensitive rail regulator
The TCR5BM11,L3F is a fixed 1.1 V output LDO from Toshiba's TCR5BM series, rated for 500 mA continuous output. Its 98 dB PSRR at 1 kHz makes it a strong candidate for powering analog front-end rails where supply ripple couples into the signal path — think sensor bias, ADC reference buffers, or RF VCO supply filtering. The 36 µA quiescent current keeps the battery drain low in always-on portable designs.
Dropout and input range — headroom budget
Maximum dropout voltage is 0.14 V at the full 500 mA load. That means the input rail needs at least 1.24 V to maintain regulation at 1.1 V output — a 0.14 V overhead that fits tight battery discharge curves. Input voltage max is 5.5 V, so it works from a single Li-ion cell (3.0–4.2 V) or a 3.3 V / 5 V regulated bus. The 1.1 V fixed output is set internally; no external resistor divider is needed.
Package and protection — 4-XDFN with exposed pad
Housed in a 4-XDFN exposed pad package, supplier device package 5-DFNB (1.2x1.2 mm). Built-in protection features include over-current and over-temperature shutdown, plus a current-limit and enable control pin.
