3-phase BLDC fan controller with PWM interface
The TC78B041FNG,EL is a 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor controller from Toshiba, purpose-built for fan speed control. It accepts a PWM input for speed commands and drives the motor with high-side and low-side pre-driver outputs. The supply voltage range is 6V to 16.5V, while the load voltage (motor drive) operates from 4.5V to 5.3V — this split-rail architecture lets the controller logic run from a higher bus while the motor sees a regulated lower voltage. Housed in a 30-LSSOP (5.60mm width) surface-mount package, it fits compact fan assemblies where board space is tight. The -40°C to 115°C operating range covers both server-room and outdoor telecom environments.
