Dual pre-biased transistor for automotive loads
The RN4904,LXHF(CT packs one NPN and one PNP pre-biased transistor into a single US6 (SOT-363) package, each with 47 kΩ resistors integrated at the base and emitter-base nodes. This part is qualified to AEC-Q101, so it carries the screening and temperature-range documentation required for automotive under-hood and chassis-domain electronics.
50 V breakdown, 100 mA continuous — what that buys you
With a 50 V collector-emitter breakdown and 100 mA continuous collector current rating, this dual transistor handles typical automotive loads with headroom for load-dump transients. The 200 MHz / 250 MHz transition frequency (NPN / PNP respectively) supports PWM dimming or solenoid drive at several tens of kilohertz.
Pre-biased — fewer passives, smaller board area
The integrated 47 kΩ base and emitter-base resistors eliminate two external resistors per transistor channel. On a dense automotive ECU board where every 0603 or 0402 passive adds placement cost and failure risk, that matters. The 300 mV saturation voltage at 5 mA collector current (with 250 µA base drive) keeps conduction loss low enough that the 200 mW package power limit is rarely the constraint in a 12 V system.
Sourcing and lifecycle
The AEC-Q101 qualification means the documentation trail (PPAP, IMDS, etc.) is available for automotive BOM submissions.
