Dual pre-biased transistor in a 6-pin SC-74
The Toshiba RN4606(TE85L,F) packs one NPN and one PNP pre-biased transistor into a single SC-74 (SOT-457) surface-mount package, saving board space and eliminating two external resistor pairs per channel. Each transistor integrates a 4.7kΩ base resistor (R1) and a 47kΩ emitter-base resistor (R2), setting a fixed bias network that simplifies drive design — the input can be driven directly from a 3.3V or 5V logic output without additional base current limiting. With a 50V collector-emitter breakdown and 100mA maximum continuous collector current, this part handles small-signal switching tasks in 24V industrial controls, 12V automotive body modules, and general-purpose relay or LED drive.
The 300mW total power limit (both transistors combined) sets the thermal budget.
