AEC-Q101 pre-biased PNP for automotive loads
The RN2107,LXHF(CT is a Toshiba PNP pre-biased transistor rated for 50 V collector-emitter breakdown and 100 mA continuous collector current, housed in a SC-75 (SOT-416) surface-mount package. Built-in bias resistors R1=10 kΩ and R2=47 kΩ eliminate two external passives from the BOM, saving placement cost and board area on high-density automotive PCBs.
Bias resistor ratio and saturation behaviour
With R1=10 kΩ and R2=47 kΩ, the base current is set by the input voltage and the 10 kΩ series resistor; the 47 kΩ resistor from base to emitter provides a defined off-state and improves noise immunity. The Vce saturation is 300 mV maximum at Ib=250 µA, Ic=5 mA — a low saturation voltage that keeps conduction losses down in a 5 mA load. The transition frequency fT of 200 MHz is high enough for switching applications up to a few megahertz, though the bias network limits the effective switching speed more than the transistor die itself.
Active production, SC-75 package
The SC-75 (SOT-416) package is a very small footprint — confirm your solder paste stencil aperture for the pad pitch before committing the layout.
