The 74VHC00FT is a quad 2-input NAND gate from Toshiba's TC74VHC series, a high-speed CMOS logic family that bridges the gap between 74HC and 74AC in speed while keeping the low quiescent draw of CMOS. Quiescent current maxes at 2 µA across the full temperature range, so the gate adds negligible standby draw in battery-powered or always-on monitoring circuits.
