Product details

Fixed 2.5V output LDO for automotive sensor rails

The LP38693SD-2.5/NOPB is a fixed-output positive LDO regulator delivering 2.5V at up to 500mA. Its 55dB PSRR at 120Hz means it attenuates 120Hz ripple from a rectified alternator or switching pre-regulator by a factor of ~560, keeping the output clean for sensitive analog sensor supplies.

Dropout headroom and quiescent current

Maximum dropout voltage is 0.73V at 500mA load — the input rail must stay above 3.23V to maintain regulation at full current. At lighter loads the dropout is lower, but the max figure is the one to use for worst-case headroom budgeting. Quiescent current is 55 µA typical, with a maximum supply current of 100 µA. This low Iq keeps the regulator from draining the battery in always-on automotive modules.
