The CA suffix denotes bidirectional polarity — it sits across an AC line or a symmetric rail pair. Verify pin 1 and pin 2 orientation against the layout: a bidirectional TVS connected backwards clamps the wrong polarity and offers no protection on the intended half-cycle.
