The 1.5SMC51CAHM6G: It clamps transients on a 43.6V nominal rail to 70.1V maximum, shunting up to 22A of surge current. AEC-Q101 qualification and an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C make it suitable for under-hood or chassis-mounted ECUs that see engine-bay thermal cycling and load-dump events.

Clamping voltage and surge rating

With a minimum breakdown voltage of 48.5V, the device triggers before the protected rail exceeds the 43.6V standoff level. The 70.1V clamping voltage at 22A peak pulse current ensures the downstream silicon sees a peak below its abs-max rating for a 12V or 24V automotive bus.
