1500W peak pulse, AEC-Q101 — what it means for the board
The 1.5SMC51CAH: AEC-Q101 qualification means this part has passed the automotive reliability stress suite: high-temperature reverse bias, temperature cycling, and ESD robustness — it is suited for under-hood and chassis-domain modules where the ambient temperature can reach 150 °C junction.
Breakdown and clamping — the protection window
The reverse standoff voltage is 43.6 V typical — the rail should stay below this during normal operation to avoid leakage. Breakdown starts at 48.5 V minimum, and clamping is guaranteed at 70.1 V maximum across the full peak pulse current.
Tape & Reel packaging is standard for the SMC footprint.
