Transient-voltage suppression for 33.3 V rails
The 1.5SMC39A M6G: With a 33.3 V reverse standoff voltage, it sits on a nominal 24–28 V rail without conducting, then breaks down at a minimum of 37.1 V to shunt the surge. At that condition the clamping voltage is 53.9 V max, and the peak pulse current reaches 29 A.
DO-214AB SMC footprint and mounting
The standard SMC footprint matches many second-source TVS diodes in the same power class, simplifying BOM swaps during assembly. No power-line protection is claimed — this is a signal-rail or low-voltage DC bus clamp, not a mains transient suppressor. The unidirectional configuration (single channel) suits positive-rail clamping to ground.
Active production and sourcing
Taiwan Semiconductor lists the 1.5SMC39A M6G as Active.
